Meet Our Home Care Team in Waterloo, ON

Dibac Home Support is a THA-licensed home care agency serving Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and the surrounding communities. Every caregiver, Personal Support Worker and Registered Early Childhood Educator is trained, background-checked and directly employed rather than contracted, which is the reason families choose an agency over a private arrangement. Our Story

Dibac Home Support began with a simple but powerful belief: that care should feel personal, professional, and dependable. Our founder, Ife Awosemusi, spent years working in business operations and consulting, helping organizations build structure and accountability. But when she looked at Ontario’s care industry, she saw something missing: families and facilities were struggling to find caregivers they could truly rely on.

Ife’s inspiration came from watching loved ones navigate the challenges of finding trustworthy support for aging parents and new mothers. She saw how inconsistent care and unvetted providers left families anxious and facilities understaffed. That experience sparked her mission — to build a care agency that treats reliability as a promise, not a possibility.

With that vision, she founded Dibac Home Support in Kitchener–Waterloo–Cambridge, combining her operational expertise with a deep respect for the human side of care. Today, Dibac stands for professional accountability, cultural awareness, and compassion in action, a staffing agency that takes full responsibility for every caregiver it employs and every client it serves.

About Us

A Licensed Agency, Not a Matching Platform

Dibac operates under the Temporary Help Agency framework, Licence ID THA-0000017213. That licence carries obligations about how workers are employed and treated, and it is the clearest line between an agency that stands behind its staff and a platform that simply connects two strangers and takes a fee.

Who Provides the Care

Our team is made up of caregivers, Personal Support Workers and Registered Early Childhood Educators, each trained and background-checked before placement. They are employed by Dibac, which means we are responsible for their screening, their training and their conduct in your home — not a subcontractor and not the caregiver alone.

What We Provide

How We Work

Care is built around continuity. Families see familiar faces rather than a rotation, caregivers are matched to a household's language and cultural background where that matters, and communication stays responsive. Scheduling runs around the clock, including overnights and weekends. Where a match is not working, we change it rather than asking the family to manage around it.

Why the Employment Model Matters

Home care sits in someone's home, often with a person who is vulnerable, frequently when no family member is present. The question of who is responsible for the person doing that work is not administrative detail — it is the whole basis of trust. Agencies that contract the work out have arranged things so that nobody is. We employ our caregivers so that we are.

Where We Serve

Dibac serves Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph, and now reaches the surrounding townships and villages: Elmira, St. Jacobs, Wellesley, Wilmot Township, Ayr and Breslau across Waterloo Region, and Fergus, Elora, Rockwood and Puslinch in Wellington County. Smaller communities are often the least well served by larger agencies, which is precisely why the coverage now extends to them rather than stopping at the edge of the cities.

Start With a Free Consultation

Every arrangement begins with a conversation about what the household actually needs — the hours, the tasks, the personality that would suit, and what the family is trying to make easier. There is no charge for that conversation and no obligation attached to it.
